Englishmen are nice!... to animals
I probably exaggerated the heading but one could notice their indifference toward a busker. Even if you like the music you hear there's no reason to stop.. in most cases. That's what I saw. But when Bob came to James' life everybody tuned to him and couldn't stop making compliments to him. So the conclusion is if you're a person with life troubles you can overcome it somehow or just take care of yourself but if you're appeared to be a sweet ginger cat full of health you'll attract as many people as there will be passers by. They'll feed you and make some sweet things to your honor.
We can also see Londoners and their everyday life. They travel on metro or bus going to the same shops and bakeries reading a newspaper. The breakfasts author prepares and the goods he buys shows some food habbits. Their clothes are shown in details by J.Bowen. And when he speaks about his family we can see some aspects the prevate life of Englishmen in general.
I found it funny that the biggest tips friends got were from the American couple..
Their social helping system is also fine according to the book. There are some hospitals for poor people or animals as well as the oppotunities to get the job( having great intention and will). It seemed to me that if you have no money nobody would send you home.. hospital staff will make concession and you'll be allowed to pay tater or partially or even assist them a bit.

what I would ask James Bowen if I could.....
almost nothing..
and these are some reasons:
1) what if Bob's owners came to pick him up in a month after you took him?would you just give him back? Would you reproach them in carelessness or absentmindnness?
2) what if Bob was completely lost after the situation in the metro(he was frietened and run away)? How would you try to find him? Posters? Police?
first - as it's all truth there can't be any logical mistakes or gaps vice versa many moments and adjectives repeated too many times. But its not a reason to blame the author. For me it's a question of experience and the manners in our "fast moving" life.
second - I'd ask some questions of probable decisions:
3) What if Bob can speak what would you ask him?
What's his life story? Why did he choose you? Did he understand how he saved your life?
4) Have you ever been jelouse because of attention Bob gets easily unlike you?
OMG.. I see how cruel my questions are but with all my respect to the author I'd really ask them..
my own answers:
1)I would never give him back cause they didn't even care about the chip I gave him and of course about his health and the state he has been in when I found Bob on the stairs fly.
2) I would go to the reporters made them to do an announcement and found him with people's help.and posters are very helpful, in my opinion.
3)What's his life story? Why did he choose you? Did he understand how he saved your life? all that!!There are no doubts.. we would sit on the sofa discussin it as real old spots.

<:*review of review*:>
Bowen describes how he was `invisible' when he was homeless, and the difference it made when he found Bob and took him busking with him. Suddenly people - the public - saw James, interacted with him, respected him. Having Bob humanised the man who was with him, and helped James turn his life around.
It echoes why this book matters: were it entitled `A Man Named James' I strongly suspect it would be invisible too. I doubt it would be published, let alone topping the bestseller charts, with James on TV sharing his experience. As a cat lover, it was Bob that made me gravitate to the story, and I'm sure I'm not alone (he is a particularly fine feline for all sorts of reasons) but there's so much more to this than fluff: through telling us about Bob, James is also able to share what it's like living on the streets, to busk, to sell the Big Issue and to come off drugs - all things most of us would otherwise shy away from reading about.
James Bowen isn't a writer, and he acknowledges at the end that he had some help in putting his story together anyway. But whilst A Streetcat Named Bob might not be great literature, it increases our understanding of people who often don't have a voice, and for that deserves its plaudits
А heartwarming tale with a message of hope (Daily Mail)
So, I'm agree with Sarah. The book is more a dairy than written masterpiece.
But me personally consider it as an advantage because from such a book I expect some kind, plain and emotional biography with some artistic device of the happy and enthusiastic amateur author. His main signal he wanted to give is how one living being can save another living being's life by simply appearing in it.
And of caurse the last paragraph of her mindful review atracted my attention.
The idea is so important.. The book really helps us to notice and to pay deserved interest to a person having no job. We can clearly understand what his life is like and how could he even rescue Bob(many employed people would never help a homeless animal just because). And you know, dear readers, our prejudices would lead us to the thought that a busker could have used attractive Bob to earn much money but there are many worthy people on the streets who are just got to that lamentable social position under the influence of circumstances..
And I would rate the book with 5 stars, by the way.
the film part!
Concerning the screening of the book I'm happy to say that for such autobiographical story there're no better actors than real ones! Where on Earth can you find another cat giving five..
To be serious I would like to mention that trere're pile of videos on youtube and instagram about James and Bob which were broadcast as an interview or just their street look while "working".
As for my own thoughts I can imagine a wonderful Christmas story about them. James' girlfriend chilling out at their place presenting a new wooden suit to Bob! And, of course, Bob trying to catch and "kill" all these supershiny lights attacking the Christmas tree. And some winter adventures. For example, James can forget Bob somewhere and make a lot of fun of it!

My own ending
Hi again!
To tell the truth having read till the middle of the story I couldn't help waiting for the moment he bocomes weathy because of his popularity and all that. I wanted him to continue dating with that girl and their moving to a cosy and sweet house full of lights. But it didn't work so it was a pitty at first. But then I realised that its fine and as it must be.. Evenn James wouldn't like to leave his place in Covent Garden where passers by know them well, film, feed them and present Bob wonderful hand-made wooden scarfs and shirts..
Thanks for your attention

Thinking on a phrase from the book
Now I'd like to share my opinion about one of the hundreds of touching and sad phrases from "Street Cat Named Bob"
"Being with
Bob had already taught me a lot about responsibility but the Big Issue(newspaper
name) took that to another level. If I wasn’t responsible and organized I
didn’t earn money. And if I didn’t earn money Bob and I didn’t eat."
The whole
story and this particular phrase tells us about the important part of one’s
life – having someone near you. The author was hopeless and wasn’t interested in
life. Bob helped him and brought a point following which James was working all the time and worrying about the conditions he lived in.
The other
interesting thought is about cooperation and mutual understanding whether its
between people or happy pet’s owners. We must be and attentive to one another
and live peasfully.
Hope you didn't cry!
See you
Character Sketch.James Bowen*_*
Dear readers,Let me introduse the hero!
He's tall dark-haired man in shabby clothes of 35.For now he wrote 4 books about his lovely ginger cat. From their first meeting you can understand that James is open-hearted and kind though didn't much care about himself as we knew.
The character changes as a person. He's still a busker but he has somebody/thing to care about and to be responsible for. That helps him to find strength finding a job as a "Big Issue" distributor or going to the Covent Garden every day playing till the moment he earn enough money to buy dinner and breakfast for Bob and himself.
He is emotional and really sensitive. That is easily seen in his thoughts during the book or his fears and worry as Bob gets ill.
To sum it up we see an adult person who can take responsibility for someone else and strong enough to overcome serious addiction.

presentation of my book or what I've expected of the ending
Hi dear readers,
And welcome to my blog.
Now i want to present "Street Cat Named Bob" - 2012-13years bestseller in many countries To tell the truth I've chosen this particular story because it's a bestseller and i like cats. The other reason was that the author is a Londoner and it could be good for my English. Then i realized that the book is more than just worth reading. The story based on the real life of the author and his famous street cat. The main value of the story is it's kindness and sincerity.
I always check authors biorgaphy before reading a book because for me to read a book is a very mindful step. ( i'm not at all a bookwarm thats why). So I just saw the book at the bestsellers shelf with the charming cat on it and expected to read something kind and warm about this little thing and his adventures. Then I knew that the story is real and checked hashtag #streetcatbob on the instagram so how amused I was seeing recent videos with a busker and his handy cat dressed as a Londoner with his sweet scarf. From that moment I considered this story as if I saw them myself and this busker just decided to tell me his story( or even their story if you want;)).
